There are many drug related deaths reported here, and the majority of those involved heroin. When I began this project I never would have imagined that my own life would be intimately affected by the ferocious grip heroin holds on its captors. My son became addicted as a teen, he still fights it today.
I've lost track of the heroin related deaths of his friends, drug buddies and rehab roomies. They are common and often. I've witnessed families torn apart, left in ruins. I've seen futures abruptly change course because of felony convictions and other drug related consequences. Heroin is powerful and evil.
Personally, I believe its the most dangerous drug out there because of how easy it is to become addicted, and how easy it is to overdose. Its a drug that steals the soul of the addict. Watching an addict loved one try to win the war is heartbreaking and they drag family and friends

So, in my heart this site serves two purposes - to remember the lives of musicians who are no longer with us, and to hopefully bring awareness that today, right now, there is an epidemic of heroin addiction among our young people. There is no war on drugs - the war is against the addicts.

just to inform you that Mick Tucker died at the age of 52, he only played with The Sweet, but was asked to join Led Zeppelin after John Bonham had passed. He never did, and stayed with Sweet during his career.
His first band was called the Fortune tellers, his band before the sWEET WAS wAINWRIGHT'S gENTLEMEN. IN THIS BAND iAN gILLAN WAS VOCALIST, WHICH WAS REPLACED BY bRIAN cONNOLLY WITH WHO'M HE FORMED THE sWEET.
